Before You Try It
Lex Align runs on your own computer. You need three things in place.

Install the tools
Python, and Ollama with the Qwen model (qwen2.5:3b by default).

Start the app
Double-click run.bat. It installs the requirements and opens Lex Align in your browser.

Upload and run
Choose your PDF and the CSV, then press Run Check.
Understanding Your Results
Compliant
A specific record or statement shows the requirement is implemented.
Partial
Only a policy or intent, a blank template, or indirect evidence.
Not Compliant
The document shows the requirement is not implemented or contradicts it.
Unknown
The document does not give enough information to decide.

What is Lex Align?
Lex Align is an AI-powered compliance assistant. It reads your company document and checks it against ISO 27001 requirements, then gives you a requirement-by-requirement report with evidence and recommended fixes.
What file formats are supported?
You upload one PDF for the company document and one CSV file with the ISO 27001 requirements.
Is my data secure?
The AI model runs locally on your computer through Ollama, so your document is not sent to an online AI service. The embedding model is downloaded once the first time you run the app.
How accurate is the analysis?
Every Compliant or Not Compliant verdict must be backed by a quote that is checked against your document, and the report shows the page. It is a first-pass review to support your team, not a replacement for a formal audit.
What does Unknown mean?
The document does not give enough information to decide. It does not prove the requirement is missing.
Can I use a different AI model?
Yes. Type the name of any model installed in Ollama into the model box at the top of the app.
How long does it take to get a report?
It depends on your computer, the model you choose and how many requirements are in the CSV. The app shows live progress while the check runs.
